Names on the Eiffel TowerOn the
Eiffel Tower, seventy-two names of frech
scientists, engineers and some other notable people are engraved in recognition of their contributions. The engravings are found on the sides of the tower under the first balcony. The engraving was painted over at the beginning of the twentieth century and restored in 1986–1987. The letters were originally done in gold and are about 60 cm high. Note: since the tower was repainted in 2010/2011, the letters are gold again.
Turnul Eiffel este de fapt plin de descoperiri uimitoare mici, dacă te uiţi atent suficient.

Pe Turnul Eiffel, şaptezeci şi două de nume de oameni de ştiinţă francezi, ingineri şi alte câteva persoane notabile sunt gravate în semn de recunoaştere a contribuţiilor lor. Numele se găsesc pe părţile laterale ale turnului în primul balcon. Au fost pictate pe la începutul secolului XX şi restaurate în 1986-1987. Literele au fost iniţial realizate din aur şi sunt aproximativ 60 de cm. Notă: de cand turnul a fost vopsit in 2010/2011, literele sunt de aur din nou.

With its red-checkered tablecloths and outdoor seating only, it is best during in the warmer months of spring, summer or fall, or possibly a not so cold winter day.

An Industrial Chimney with a Medieval Turret
This brick chimney is hidden amidst the trees just near the West Pillar along Quai Branley. It’s older than the Eiffel Tower, built to assist the construction efforts. The chimney was constructed for the machine room below the South Pillar.
