50 locuri in Paris / 50 spots in Paris

Artist Ami Sioux had an amazing book idea: She asked fifty Paris residents to sketch maps to places that were important to them in their everyday lives. She then followed the maps and photographed the destinations.

Primul pod construit din lemn in anul 1827 , prabusit in 1873.

The first wooden bridge built in 1827, collapsed in 1873. He was replaced by an iron bridge in 1875.
At the end of the street that passes under the bridge allée des Cygnes there is a bronze statue, Statue of Liberty on a smaller scale (1885) was originally oriented west and then turned backwards from America then again turned west for the Universal Exhibition in 1937.
A new steel bridge was rebuilt in 1966-1968.

...when Paris smells its sweetest

“This is what you do on your very first day in Paris.

You get yourself some rain, not just a drizzle but honest-to-goodness rain.

Then you find yourself someone really nice, and drive her through the Bois de Boulogne in a taxi.

The rain’s very important, because that’s when Paris smells its sweetest.

It’s the damp chestnut trees, you see.”

Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina.
